A disappointing end to the season for Forest Hills Northern football and Coach Matthew Moffett.

“I was definitely expecting to win the regular season and make a run at playoffs this year, but if I can take anything from our record it’s we have a lot of room to improve.”

With a 3-6 record Northern’s team came out on top against Northview and Ottawa Hills but suffered tough losses to other big schools in the OK White conference, Byron Center, East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills Central, Cedar Springs, Lowell and East Kentwood.

Senior Jared Bujdos feels good about the season despite not making the playoffs.

“We worked really hard all season and even though we didn’t come out with the results we wanted, it was a great year and I expect to hear of big wins next year after I’m gone.”

“We may not be in playoffs this year due to our record, but we still have one more game and my goal for the team is to put in a really solid last performance,” said Coach Moffett before the last game against Greenville High School. The Huskies came out with a strong win against the Yellowjackets.
