Cross country is a great sport for all ages where athletes can improve throughout the season and create relationships that will last all high school.

“Everyone should join Cross Country because it’s really fun, and you can meet so many new people, and do so many fun new things with your team,”  said Grace Wojo, freshman Cross Country runner.

Cross country is run by Coach Curcuru and Coach Vermullen along with assistant coach Gunnick who have coached the team to winning good rankings at all of their meets this year.

“I love the coaches. They are really supportive and they really care about us,” said Grace Wojo.

They train everyday after school and meet by the track for a hour and a half and have meets on Saturdays at other schools. They expect to have a strong team in future years due to the strength of the incoming freshmen and the sophomore classes.

Huskies pulled through at the conference meet on 10/18/17 and took first place, so great job representing FHN and good luck at Regionals!
