Christmas cookies are some of the greatest things to look forward to around the holidays. All families make different flavors and types of cookies, but here are some of the most popular ones among Northern freshman.

We discovered there are five favorite cookies at Northern: Frosted Sugar Cookies, Snickerdoodles, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Peanut Butter Cookies, and Peppermint Sugar Cookies.

Peanut Butter Blossoms was our overwhelming winner, winning 42% of the votes. Peanut Butter Blossoms are peanut butter cookies coated with sugar, with a hershey kiss pressed into the middle of the cookie. They are a perfect mix of peanut butter and chocolate that everybody loves.

Next up was Frosted Sugar Cookies with 29% of the votes.  Frosted Sugar Cookies are a classic Christmas cookie that everyone enjoys. Many families bake Frosted Sugar Cookies as a Christmas tradition. They are soft and chewy cookies with great frosting on top. Perfect cookie to leave out for Santa Claus.

Third was Snickerdoodles with 16% of the votes. Snickerdoodles are soft cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar. These cookies are best when they are warm out of the oven.  They are a wonderful treat on a cold snowy day.

Then it was Peppermint Sugar Cookies with 13% of the votes.  Peppermint Sugar Cookies are soft, minty cookies perfect for the holidays. These cookies taste great and look wonderful. The minty taste of these cookies gives off the perfect Christmas vibe.

Finally, Peanut Butter Cookies had 0% of the votes. Peanut Butter Cookies are  great cookies but maybe not the best for Christmas.
