Thanksgiving food or Christmas food? Which do you prefer? To find out which food category people enjoy the most, I made a poll asking which type of food people like better.

Out of the 16 people who took the poll, eight people said that they prefered Thanksgiving food over Christmas food, leaving the other half of participants that prefer christmas food.

I spoke to Megan Broughal, who prefers Christmas food, and Madi Koehler, who prefers Thanksgiving food, to see what types of foods their families eat on both holidays and why they prefer it.

“We typically eat turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls and gingerbread houses that we’ve made on Christmas,” answered Megan. After reading what Megan and her family eats on Christmas, you can conclude that it’s pretty similar to what most people enjoy on Thanksgiving, aside from the gingerbread houses, of course.

Megan prefers Christmas food over Thanksgiving food because she loves the Christmas season and cheer rather than Thanksgiving.

When I asked Madi what her family typically eats on Thanksgiving she said, “We usually eat, turkey, ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, bread, rutabaga, apple pie, pumpkin pie and sometimes peach cobbler.”

As you can tell, Madi and her family eat a pretty typical Thanksgiving dinner.  Madi prefers Thanksgiving food over Christmas food because she says that Christmas food is different food every year in her family, and she considers herself as a picky eater.

So what do you think? Are you team Christmas or team Thanksgiving?
