The holiday season is a very big deal for people. What would happen if Michigan found out right before Christmas that it was canceled and they wouldn’t be able to celebrate it? For me, it would be very upsetting. The holiday season is where people have time to spend with their family and time to do something good for someone else who needs the help.

There are many holidays to celebrate this time of year, and it’s not only Christmas. There’s Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Winter Solstice, to name a few.

When I was a little kid, I remember always getting so excited for Christmas. The night before I would never be able to fall asleep because I was so excited to get presents and spend time with my family. Just imagine being a kid and finding out the holiday is cancelled and what they have been waiting for all year isn’t going to happen. That would be the worst feeling in the world.

Many people have traditions during the holiday season, and those traditions help to make a family close during the season.

“During the Holiday Season, my family and I just hang out,” said Raleigh Kuipers.

My family and I always go to my aunt’s house on Christmas Eve and spend time with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I am one of the youngest out of all my cousins, so I never see them because they are ether working somewhere far away or they are at college. If we didn’t have the holiday season I would never be able to spend time with my family.
