In the olden days, there was a movie about a legendary thief who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Well now, the story has had an explosive, action-packed, adventurous makeover. The new movie hit theaters on November 21, 2018. It had a 100 million dollar budget.

This new movie stays kind of close to the original plot but adds a nuance of being “not your father’s Robin Hood,” which means it is a little darker and action-filled.  Taron Egerton does a good job of playing Robin of Loxley.

The movie’s portrayal of the crusade is above and beyond. The 1 hour and 23-minute-long movie sets audiences on the edge of their seats until the final seconds. Google reported that 94% of people who saw it said they liked the movie. It has a 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb and 52% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The character’s clothing throughout the movie matches the style of the times: very gaudy outfits for the rich and ragged, drab, and dull for the poor.

Robert Latin stated that “the movie was a well put together action/adventure movie.”  He told me the movie was a movie people need to see.

Aidan Graham said, “The movie was a  great spin on an old classic.” The old tale of Robin from Loxley has a fox with a green hat and shirt. This new movie shows a very handsome Robin from Loxley sporting a nice black cloak and hood. The characters in the movie call Robin Hood, “The Hood.”

Scott Marqu stated  “I would go see that movie over and over again. Even if it costs me ten dollars each time. You couldn’t keep me away from that amazing movie.”

The movie did only earn 22 million dollars with a 100 million dollar budget.
